Celebrate GVCA’s 60th at the Guildwood New Year’s Eve Gala

2018 marks the GVCA’s 60th anniversary and we are planning a party to start the year off with a bang! That’s right, the GVCA is organizing a community New Year’s Eve Gala at the new Guild Inn Estate.

The evening will begin with cocktails at 7:00pm followed by a three-course sit down dinner including wine. Vegetarian and gluten free options will be available. After dinner, we will turn up the heat with live music from “Firesound”. Canada Sings winners (season 1), Firesound plays a mix of rock, funk, soul, pop and disco that is sure to get everybody out on the dance floor. This award-winning eight-piece band features a three-piece horn section and all the members are Toronto firefighters. Firesound were a big draw at this year’s Beaches Jazz StreetFest – the crowd was dancing in the street!

Drinks will be available throughout the evening at the open bar and at midnight there will be bubbly to toast the New Year. As well, we are planning door prize draws and some fun activities during the evening.

Tickets will be available (19+) to the community first at $105 each on a first come first serve basis and purchasers will be able to select their preferred table. Community ticket sales (cash only) will take place on three consecutive Saturdays, starting on October 28, November 4 & 11 between 10am and 4pm just inside Valu-Mart. Look for the GVCA ticket sales table near the customer service area. After these dates any remaining tickets will be sold through the GVCA web site at $110 each.

Our NYE Organizing Committee would like to thank and acknowledge the Guild Inn Estate staff who have worked with our GVCA volunteers to bring you a fantastic New Year’s Eve Gala at an attractive price right here in our own neighborhood.

We look forward to celebrating the start of 2018 with our neighbors and friends. The evening promises to be a great one, so get your tickets early!
